Bracha Jaffe

Yeshivat Maharat
Student ('17)
New York
Bracha Jaffe is in her final year at Yeshivat Maharat. She delights in learning with people of all ages, whether dressing in costume for Bat Mitzvah programs, leading discussion groups with empty nesters, facilitating 'Wise Aging' programs or simply teaching Torah and inspiring others to learn. Bracha loves listening to people's stories; she is a dynamic and thoughtful educator. Her love of tefilla and ritual has led her to be an accomplished gaba'it in women's tefilla groups and partnership minyanim. She is an expert leyning teacher and is the voice of the JOFA Megilat Esther App, enabling anyone to read the megilla. Bracha wears many hats: teacher, spiritual leader, life coach, friend. She is always looking for opportunities to empower people; helping them create change within themselves, thus bringing more joy and fulfillment into their lives. Bracha interned at UOS (United Orthodox Synagogue) in Houston, Texas, at HIR (Hebrew Institute of Riverdale) in New York. In addition, she completed a full CPE unit, serving as a chaplain at NY Presbyterian Hospital. She is currently interning at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility and teaching in a variety of settings in the NY area as part of a UJA graduate fellowship.
